Our Treatment Coordinator, Sonja VanderTuuk, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2011. The 39 year old mother of 11 year old Frankie and wife of Doug, has worked with Dr. Royer since 2006.
She has touched many lives through her job as a dental assistant and treatment coordinator. We are now asking for your support to help Sonja get through this difficult battle. She has already gone through a lumpectomy and started six months of chemotherapy treatments. Next summer will bring another surgery, with radiation treatments to follow. As you can image, this extensive treatment is very costly.
Sonja's friends and family have joined together to help raise money to offset the expenses of her treatment. Our biggest fundraiser thus far took place in February. Thanks to everyone who attended the "Strike Out Cancer" fun bowl benefit at Hebron Lanes. It was a great success and we were able to make a considerable donation to Sonja and her family.
